Grass-Fed Beef

Do you know where your beef comes from? We believe that matters. We also believe that what goes into our food–and what doesn’t–is important.

Grass-fed beef simply means that our cattle forage and graze for their own fresh food in our pastures. We treat them on occasion with apples and garden scraps. During the winter months, they are fed alfalfa and grass hay, produced (without chemicals/pesticides/herbicides) right here on our farm.

Unlike grain-fed animals, the emphasis is on providing the closest thing to a natural diet as possible. No grains, hormones, or growth supplements enter our cattle. The result is beef that is leaner, healthier, and more flavorful.

Grass-fed beef contains 4x more Vitamin E and 10x more Vitamin A  than grain-fed beef. Grass-fed beef is high in antioxidants, heart-healthy omega-3s, beta-carotene, Vitamin B6,  and conjugated linolenic acid (which may enhance muscle growth, reduce heart disease and lower cancer risk).
