Lucky and blessed are over used words, especially within my vocabulary. But how else do I describe how fortunate I feel or how awesome it is that he and I found one another and get to experience this amazing life we are building together?
Sometimes I am in awe, and certainly disbelief, at the way we came together, at our partnership, of our daughter and all that comes with being husband and wife.
Of course it is not all roses and sunshine. We have our moments. Lord and Cody know, I have my moments. There are arguments, disagreements, lost tempers, frustrations, hormones, and ‘man-handicaps’ that find their way into our happily ever after. But there is always the promise of that happily ever after and the constant presence of gratitude–even if it is buried under a scowl.
September 13, 2016 marked our second wedding anniversary. One of many dates that make up our love story.

An anniversary is a wonderful opportunity to recall the story, the journey, the ups and downs, and the conviction that you’d do it all over again and again. It also is a good reason to look through photos and draft a blog post! In going through photos from the past six years, I couldn’t help but notice how our earlier years together were a bit more wild than recent times/photos. That’s to be expected. We attended sporting events, concerts, parties, and watched football at the bar. Time changes everything, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Very happy with our low-key lifestyle these days and that we share them with our sweet lil Miss who puts this entire journey into perspective. And we are still enjoying adventures along the way!
