On Saturday we went to Sauk City to run errands and I wanted to take advantage of a final opportunity to use the Sigma 18-200 mm lens I was renting to capture an eagle. We were in luck! There as a mature eagle perched in a tree on the river and I was able to click away. The majestic bird was quite a distance from us, but the lens allowed me to close the gap a bit and get some shots while he was in flight.
This morning I woke to welcome a new addition to our funny farm. In the early morning hours a colt (baby boy horse) was born. He’s strong and healthy. This makes for our sixth foaling experience and I am always amazed at how pure instinct provides all the ammunition a mother and babe need. My mare is a tremendous mother and I am honored she shares that with me. With the addition of this new life, that brings the farm count to ten horses, four dogs, three cats, one goat, and one bunny!
And speaking of bunnies… there are only a couple sessions remaining for the Easter Mini Sessions with Boo the Bunny. March 10 or March 17. Have a great week!
